Voices that Challenge - Young Adults Advocating Social Justice

Voices that Challenge is a dedicated group of young adults working for social justice. Currently during the course of our 8th year as a group our member list has grown to roughly 100 members in the Tidewater, Virginia and the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Planning sessions are held approximately every 3 months where the group decides by consensus which upcoming issues will be addressed. We strive to educate ourselves about each issue before an activity and to ensure reflection on it afterward.

There is no heirarchy recognized in the group. Members volunteer to assume responsibilities if and when the need arises. We maintain an active mailing list of members to ensure that those who are not able to attend an event or meeting can be kept informed of group decisions and dates.
